How to fix error retrieving frame when exporting

If you have problems exporting from Adobe Premiere Pro to Media Encoder and it says “error retrieving frame” when hovering over the “status column”, here are 6 solutions that you can try.

How to fix error retrieving frame when exporting

1️⃣ First, you can wait a bit with exporting after opening Adobe Premiere Pro, to load all the footage and also wait with closing Premiere Pro until you have started the export inside Media Encoder.

2️⃣ Second, you can change the export to the same frame rate as the original files used in the sequence.

3️⃣ Third, you can relink the footage by turning the source media "offline" and then "online" again.

4️⃣ Fourth, you can go to “Settings” and clear your cache inside Adobe Premiere Pro.

5️⃣ Fifth is to export directly in Adobe Premiere Pro instead of using Media Encoder,

6️⃣ And finally, number six, you can try changing the frame rate of the sequence to match the original footage.

Hopefully, one of these solutions will work!
